1st Hednesford Scout Group

Welcome to the website of 1st Hednesford Scout Group.

1st Hednesford scout group has been around since 1908 and is one of a few scout groups that have their own HQ. We are a Group within the Cannock Chase District that provide Outdoor Adventure and Skills to young people within Hednesford and beyond.

We offer many opportunities for young people to get involved in activities including our annual events which run within each section. For more information regarding these topics then please speak to a member of the Leadership Team for the section of interest.

As Scouting is the biggest co-educational youth movement there are almost 480,000 people throughout the UK who are involved in scouting activities. The organisation offers young people from the age of 6 to 25 and adult volunteers the experience of a lifetime.

Each section runs a varied and exciting programme which we plan and fill termly. There is also a wide range of Badges and Awards that you can achieve along the way in your scouting life as a Youth Member or as an Adult Volunteer.

Hope to see you joining the Adventure soon!

Yours in Scouting

The text below is from an earlier post from Neil (Mowgli) the newest member of our leadership team in Cubs. He has asked if we could share it on this page.
Welcome to the 1st Hednesford family Neil 👍⚜

As today was my first parade with 1st Hednesford Scout group I'd just like to say how proud of I was of the kids across the sections. Well behaved, uniforms all smart and positive attitudes all round. Well done everyone. Great to see such a good parent and general public turn out too.

Massive thanks to all those who helped collect the resources needed to produce our Remembrance display. All sections and leaders have contributed to the construction.
It will be pride of place on the stage at The Old Soldiers Club after Sunday's Parade. Please fell free to pop in an have a look, our young members and leaders are mighty proud of what they have achieved.
